Astrea Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Astrea ("the App"), developed by dodeyazilim, collects, uses, and protects your personal data. It is provided as an English reference to our Turkish KVKK (Turkish Data Protection Law) disclosure at /privacy.html; for legal purposes concerning users in Türkiye, the Turkish version governs.

1. Data Controller

Your personal data is processed by dodeyazilim as data controller. Contact: iletisim@dodeyazilim.com.

2. Data We Collect

Birth data: birth date, birth time (if known), and birth place — required to compute your natal chart.
Account data: email address and identity-provider info (only if you link a Google/Apple account).
Chat content: messages you send to the AI astrologer and the questions you ask.
Synastry (compatibility) data: see section 6 below — handled differently from other data.
Push notification token: device token used to send daily horoscope/personal notifications.
Device and usage data: app version, OS, crash reports, and anonymized usage telemetry.
Subscription status: purchase/subscription state (payment card details never reach Astrea — payments are handled by Apple/Google).

3. Purposes of Processing

Generating your natal chart, daily horoscope, and personalized AI astrology content based on your birth data,
Powering the AI astrologer chat feature,
Providing synastry (compatibility) analysis,
Creating your account, signing you in, and syncing data across devices,
Verifying subscription status and unlocking premium features,
Detecting and fixing app errors and improving service quality,
Sending relevant push notifications (daily horoscope, quota reminders, etc.).

4. Service Providers and Cross-Border Transfer

For the purposes above, your personal data is shared with the following service providers. Some of these providers operate servers outside your country of residence (primarily in the United States); by continuing to use the App you consent to this cross-border transfer.

Important: Your birth data and chat content are processed solely for the purposes above and are never sold or rented to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Legal Basis and Consent

Your birth data and chat content are processed on the basis of performance of the service you requested. The cross-border transfer to OpenAI relies on your explicit consent. On first launch, the App shows a consent screen for this transfer; declining disables the AI chat and synastry commentary features (core horoscope/natal features are unaffected).

6. Synastry — Someone Else's Data

When you use the synastry (compatibility) feature, your partner's birth data (date/time/place) is processed only on your device and is never sent to our servers. Only a derived numeric compatibility score, a summary of inter-chart planetary aspects, and the label you gave the partner (e.g. "Alex") are sent to the server; these are used to generate the AI commentary and are stored against your account.

You are responsible for informing — and obtaining consent from, where required — any other person whose birth data you enter. dodeyazilim does not verify the accuracy of partner data or your authority to enter it.

7. Retention Periods

Profile and birth data: retained while your account is active; permanently deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
Chat history and synastry records: retained until account deletion or manual deletion by you.
Crash reports: subject to the provider's default retention period (typically 90 days).
Anonymized usage analytics: may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes (not attributable to an individual).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to know whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn its purpose, know the third parties it is shared with (including abroad), request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion, and seek compensation for damages.

How to delete your data

In-app: Settings → Delete My Account (initiates immediate, permanent deletion).

9. Children's Privacy

Astrea is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Entertainment-Only Notice

All astrological content in Astrea (horoscopes, natal chart interpretations, AI astrologer replies, synastry analysis) is provided for entertainment purposes only; it does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice and is not a substitute for professional consultation.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always published on this page.
